The OHHS Boys Varsity Basketball team celebrated senior night with a decisive 63–47 victory over the Nooksack Valley Pioneers on February 2. The evening honored seven seniors: Joseph Lewis, Bryson Harris, Riley Ellis, Riley Jackson, Max Waldron, Cohen Esvelt, and Xavier Ochoa. Energized by an enthusiastic crowd of Wildcat fans, the team delivered a commanding performance from start to finish. The night became historic when senior Xavier Ochoa shattered Oak Harbor High School's single-season scoring record, surpassing Manny Martucci's 469-point mark that had stood since 1993—a 33-year-old record. "My senior season has been filled with ups and downs and has really strengthened my relationship with my teammates," said senior Riley Jackson. "We've gotten to a point where we all know we have each other's backs, not just in basketball, but in life."
