On January 6, the Varsity Boys Basketball team fought the Bellingham Bayhawks. The game was incredible, coming down to the last 1/10 of a second, unfortunately 72-73. Despite the loss, senior shooting guard Xavier Ochoa hit 1000 total career points. An accomplishment that has not been met at OHHS in ten years!
When asked about his accomplishment after the game, Xavier Ochoa said, “It feels awesome! Going into high school, I set goals that I thought would be realistic, but I never even imagined reaching 1000 career points! I feel very lucky to have been given the opportunities I have had, but what has made it the best, is achieving these dreams and goals with my family and friends along the way, because it wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t with me through this journey."
