Tonight was the highly anticipated Homecoming game against the Mount Vernon Bulldogs. We started the night with NJROTC presenting the Colors and the National Anthem performed by the band followed by an OHHS kick-off tradition: The Powder Toss. During the halftime show, we saw performances from Band and Color Guard, Cheer, and the Homecoming Royalty presentation. Royalty were presented under a sword arch from NJROTC, and were announced to the spectators. Congratulations to Madisyn Spanos ‘25 and Lucas Smith ‘25 for being selected Homecoming King and Queen! “My favorite part of getting to cheer tonight was performing in front of the crowd, especially the student section,” said Alyssa Stone ‘25. Carson Lang ‘25 played an impressive game and scored 2 of the 7 touchdowns. We ended the game with a well-deserved win, the final score being 49-21. Per tradition, after the end of a victorious Homecoming game, the student section stormed the field with the team, and they all danced the Hokey Pokey. It was an incredible end to the night, and we are looking forward to the Homecoming dance tomorrow to wrap up Homecoming week.
